Keys to Success Series

Cross-Disciplinary Focus

Why is this Important

This course is all about building skills that will help students succeed in any college course. Focus groups have taught us that many students don't know how to transfer those skills--unless they see a clear demonstration or immediately practice the application.

More than 93% of the instructors we asked we extremely enthusiastic about the idea of cross-disciplinary applications, but many wanted more coverage than simply a feature that students could skip over. We listened and implemented their recommendations.

Now we're the only FYE text to offer cross-disciplinary applications in chapter features and in the text. As one focus group attendee put it, Keys offers "a paradigm shift" in this area.
